Choosing the Right Social Media Platform |

| How can one know which social media platform is right for them? The truth is, there are very few that are not useful. There are perhaps over a hundred social media platforms out there if you're counting bookmarking sites, blog publishing tools, the Ustreams, and the Nings of the world. Its impossible to keep up with them all and whats available. The real question is how do you manage it all, or do you hire a full time person, or completely outsource it? If you plan on outsourcing, find a company that will help you set up all the majors, which is Youtube, Facebook, and I definitely recommend LinkedIn for you personally. Remember, that if you don't keep your profile pages active, you might as well don't even bother. Should you bother? The Internet is completely shapeshifting and the answer is YES. The next question that some of you may consider is should you launch your own social media platform, so you own the community itself? Should you build a proprietary network or launch on another's such as Ning.com? All good questions that should be considered.
